With over 300 comic events taking place across five different venues, this year's Brisbane Comedy Festival at the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm and other places is set to be the biggest yet.

Get ready for some side-splitting action as the Brisbane Comedy Festival returns for a massive month-long celebration of stand-up, improv, sketch comedy, and plenty of hilarity from April 26 to May 26.
The historic Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm, as one of the main hubs, will be hosting a stellar lineup:
Rising star Shad Wicka teams up with veteran funnyman Peter James for "Shad & Pete Save The World!" on May 24. Wicka's laid-back storytelling style and sharp jokes have made him a hit on the local scene.

On May 10th, don't miss "The Debate: A Very Funny Fundraiser" featuring a comic clash of wits over hot button issues. The next night, RuPaul's Drag Race winner Spankie Jackzon brings her acclaimed one-woman show.

Fans of improv and musical comedy can get their fix with "Impromptunes" (May 4-5), where every scene, song and dance number is created on the spot. And musician Eddie Ray delivers a unique film/live concert hybrid with "Silence of the Jams" on May 16.

But that's just a taste! The Powerhouse venues like the Turbine Theatre, Underground Theatre and Fairfax Studio will be buzzing with big names and fresh talent.
The festival's Opening Gala kicks things off with Josh Thomas making a triumphant return to the Brisbane stage he began on. Aussie comedy royalty like Nazeem Hussain, Joel Creasey, Rhys Nicholson and more will take turns cracking up audiences.
